What is TaeKwon-Do?

Tae  Kwon  Do (also known as Taekwondo) is the art of self defense that originated in Korea. It is recognized as one of the oldest forms of martial arts in the world, reaching back over 2,000 years. The name was selected for its appropriate description of the art: Tae  (foot), Kwon  (hand), Do  (art).

Courtesy – To be polite and respectful to self and others

Integrity – Defining right from wrong. Always doing the right thing even when no one is looking. Be Honest.

Perseverance – Never giving up. Being patient, overcoming all difficult situations.

 

Self-Discipline – Controlling oneself inside and outside of the dojo. Controlling words, thoughts and actions.

Indomitable Spirit - Showing courage and principles, when the odds are against you. Strong Spirit
